Along Strada Provinciale 71, Sardinia
After spending days at a conference in the south of Sardinia, I found myself with some late afternoon free time to explore the surrounding Pula region. With limited time, I just opened Google Maps, looking for somewhere not too far that might be worth visiting. That's when I stumbled across something that looked promising, Strada Provinciale 71.
I went in without too much expectation. But the moment I arrived, I was stunned by the landscape and the magical atmosphere. The weather was far from what most would call optimal. Though optimal is a very relative thing, I guess. These rainy early May days created something moody and quiet that only amplified the scenery, and the fact that the season had barely begun meant there were not many people around.
Every corner of that road opens up onto another incredible view of the southern Sardinian coastline. It quietly touched me in a way I didn't see coming.
